FIAC AIRBLOK SD series of rotary screw compressors with variable speed drive are today’s answer to the ever-demanding requirements of the world of compressed air. The final user is sensitive to the importance of reduced running and maintenance costs which, as a whole, may be considerably more than the initial investment cost. The AIRBLOK SD series, with variable speed drive, is capable of adjusting the running speed of the air end, based on the requirements for compressed air. By adjusting the energy consumption to the volume of air needed (from 25% to 100% of maximum capacity) and by eliminating peak demand during start-up by means of a progressive acceleration ramp, the AIRBLOK SD series guarantees reduced operating costs, especially in systems with fluctuating air consumption.
